Duke Chapel
Constructed from 1930 to 1932, Duke Chapel--at the center of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina--is 291 feet long and the tower reaches 210 feet tall. Three pipe organs (one with 6,900 pipes and another with 5,033 pipes) are used for services, ceremonies, and recitals. The 77 stained-glass windows are constructed from over one million pieces of glass imported from England, Belgium, and France.
